Distance Learning Experience

It was great experience to work in groups and discuss activities in distance leaning environment. Of course, as any other work, it has area of growth and area of weakness. It is not my first time to do distance learning. Through this course experience, I strongly believe that collaborative work is very important for all group members. Discussing ideas and sharing experiences support the quality of the final product. The most important reason of making it successful experience is the high positive feedback of everyone in the group and hanging out on time. Also, being responsible for one's portion is crucial. I appreciate everyone's effort and I am sure that we can modify our work if we have more time. Therefore, the only challenge that I met was the time, which I feel that managing the is essential for online distance learning.

  1. Time is certainly a major issue in DL. Your reflection reminds me of the VT project we did in Group 11 and with my teaching career. Time can be an issue when we did the project -- with the time difference, we encountered challenges of scheduling a hangout at a time convenient for everyone in the group. With the deadline, I found it pressed in time to polish the project more before submission. However, when I realize that I have tried my best, it is ok.
For the future activities, perhaps we can think about providing pre-activity for the students before meeting, so that they will be more prepared. For completing projects, how do you like the idea of having each partner be responsible for one element?
